On May 13-14, the 15th National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Annual Conference (also known as the "Guochuang Annual Conference") was held at the South Lake Campus of China University of Mining and Technology. The laboratory's reform achievement project, "Vehicle Communication System for Unmanned Driving and Road Collaboration," received attention from leaders of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. The project was awarded the "Best Creative Project Award" and the "My Favorite Project Award," and the supervising teacher, Professor Haibo Zhou, was awarded the "Outstanding Supervising Teacher Award", breaking the Nanjing University's record of awards at the "Guochuang Annual Conference".
The "Guochuang Annual Conference" is an important annual exhibition and exchange activity initiated by the Ministry of Education and hosted by the expert group of the national undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship training program. It is one of the most widely covered, influential, and highest-level events in the reform of undergraduate education in China, with the most participation from students. It is reported that this year's annual conference received a total of 872 recommended projects from national universities and local education authorities, including 378 academic papers, 377 reform achievement projects, and 117 entrepreneurship promotion projects. After the initial evaluations by relevant disciplinary experts and the "Guochuang Plan" expert group, a total of 508 projects were selected, including 195 academic papers, 243 reform achievement projects, and 70 entrepreneurship promotion projects, to participate in the 15th National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Annual Conference.
