On November 10, 2024, the Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances in China's Internet of Things in 2024 selected by the China Institute of Communications and the China Institute of Electronics were officially announced. The Top Ten Scientific and Technological Advances in the Internet of Things were released at the China Internet of Things Conference and the National Internet of Things Technology and Application Conference. It is a weather vane that summarizes major scientific and technological progress and technological trends in the Internet of Things industry. It is also known as the Oscar award in the field of the Internet of Things for its strict selection standards, authoritative industry influence and guiding role. The Key Technologies and Applications of Giant Dynamic Network Control and Transmission in the Sky and Earth Integration project submitted by Nanjing University was honored to be on the list.

In recent years, under the guidance of Academician Shen Xuemin, Professor Zhou Haibo and Professor Zhao Kangxian of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering of Nanjing University have actively responded to the major strategic needs of the country's digital economy era for the Internet of Things infrastructure, and have been deeply engaged in basic application research in the field of integrated space-ground networks for a long time. Facing key challenges such as the high dynamics of large-scale heterogeneous node topology, the complexity of diversified spatiotemporal network behavior, and the randomness of large-scale massive business needs, the project has established a hierarchical system control and operation and maintenance architecture, designed a dynamic reconfigurable resource slicing algorithm, proposed a highly reliable business routing and transmission method, and developed a high-fidelity and high-efficiency simulation verification platform, realizing the dynamic topology controllability, multi-dimensional resource reconfiguration, scalable networking capabilities, and verifiable evaluation methods of large-scale giant networks. The progress of the project has completely independent intellectual property rights, independent and controllable core technologies, and broad application prospects. At present, the results have been applied to national key R&D plan tasks, Queqiao-2, Huawei model product development, etc., forming one national standard specification, and won the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress of the Chinese Command and Control Society in 2023, and achieved significant social and economic benefits.

We will continue to base ourselves on major strategic goals in my country's science and technology field, and constantly explore new applications and new models of giant dynamic Internet of Things technology that integrates the earth and the sky in academia and industrial construction, and provide technical support for the formation and implementation of major national strategic tasks such as future large-scale satellite Internet, low-altitude intelligent Internet, and related enterprise standards.
